How much tip is appropriate to give to a driver and luggage boy please read section "For Fast Calculation".

In our view and in the view of our guests and employees we have found an quite practical answer to the question of how much tip is usually given at the Lotus-Villa. At the restaurant we have placed a white "Tip-Box" which has the purpose that if you are practically happy with the service of our staff, you can reward them with a tip via the Tip-Box. We have chosen the "diversion" over the Tip-Box primarily for two reasons:

1. The Tip is to be distributed to all members of staff (at present we have 89 full-time employees), whereas our physicians, translators and group leader have decided that they voluntarily abstain from their share so that their shares can benefit the other members of staff.

2. Our guest and patients shall not get the feeling of maybe not having given enough tip or less tip than others.

For these reasons it seemed better to us that you give a certain amount into the Tip-Box than always to give something "in-between". We are happy to give you additional information and promise in writing that your tips are not counted into the wages.

Often we are asked about the appropriate amount of tips. It is the experience of our staff that most guests and patients give around, according to their currency,US-$ 110to US-$ 250 in tips during a two weeks stay. This means that each one of our employees will receive 1 to 2 $. To us this seems adequate as tips of other guests are added to this amount. However, up to this day no-one has ever complained about "too much" tips.
