Half day excursions
Especially if you are in Sri Lanka for the first time, but also if you have already been here, we have put together a selection of events and half day excursions to bring the land and its people closer.
If you would like to take part on a half day excursion, it is necessary that you register yourself in the excursion list, which is displayed in the restaurant. From this list you can also find out which excursions are held and when. Please remember that this entry is especially important to yourself and the Ayurveda department, so that your treatment plans can be co-ordinated with your wishes for excursions.
Currently we execute the following half day excursion, which can be ordered directly at the Lotus-Villa. (Prices include ticket, driver and car):
Half day expeditions:
+ To the tea factory in Elpitiya: US-$ 8.00
+ To the mask crafting and batik factory in Ambalangoda: US-$ 7.00
+ A boots tour in the lagoon of Balaptiya: US-$ 10.00
+ To the silk factory and the fort in Galle: US-$ 8.00
+ To the turtle farm and Toddy-Draughtier: US-$ 7.00
+ To the weekly market in Uragasmahandya: US-$ 5.00
+ A bicycle tour: US-$ 5.00 (goes to the member of staff/owner of the bike)
We do not take any responsibility for trips organised by Beachboys or by yourself.
Round trips with/of a duration of 1 to 8 days:
Round trips are either put together in a personal conversation or we plan the trip already before your arrival and calculate the price which is also depended on your hotel preferences. Please send us an email or your telephone number, so that we can get in contact with you.
Events at the Lotus-Villa:
We believe that we compared to the size of our house provide quite an interesting event program.It is like followed:
+ Each week a cookery course, where you can choose yourself, what will be prepared.
+ Every two weeks comes a magician.
+ Every week at lunch time a five-head-strong family comes and plays "home-music".
+ Every two weeks come the "devil dancers" .
+ Each week plays the Lotus-Villa-house-band.
+ Every two weeks there is a performance of the Lotus-Villa-dancers.
+ Six times a week Yoga is offered.
+ Two times a week Tai Chi Chuan is offered.
+ Five times in 14 days guided meditation is offered.
+ Every week a viewing of the medicine production.
+ Every week is invited an astrologer.
+ At least three times a week discussions about Ayurveda are held with a physician andtranslator present.
