Daily routine

We are often asked what a typical day at the Lotus-Villa or in Ayurveda is like. This question is (in terms of the correct practising of Ayurveda) not very easy to answer, as it is very much depended on the illness and complaints of the guests and patients. The daily routine of a person who only receives three treatments a day because of a weak body will be different to a person who receives five or even six treatments a day.

Prior fixed daily routines can be planned and carried out correctly for Wellness-reatments also in Ayurveda, however for illnesses it is mostly not possible in advanced.

An "average" daily routine looks as followes:

am = in the morning pm = in the afternoon The times are "approx. times".

7.00 am 7x per week Yoga
7.00 am until 9.00 am Breakfast
8.00 am Morning medicine and mouth rinse
8.00 am until lunch time: Treatments in general and those that be carried out in the morning only
12.45 am Lunch
2.00 pm until Treatments and/or consultations with specialised physicians
3.00 pm Start of the half-day-excursions
5.00 pm 2x per week and on request: Yoga
7.00 pm Dinner
8.15 pm Evening event (e.g. dancers/magician) and/or subject discussions with physicians or Yoga teacher and/or cookery course
ca. 10 pm until 11 pm around this time most guests start getting ready for bed

?Your food should be your medicine and your medicine should be your food?

According to ayurvedic rules medicine will only be applied when correct nutrition alone does not heal the body.
