Singles and Travelers on their own:

For Singles often are other things important than for 2 persons or travelers doing their journey in a group. Sometimes they have the feeling not to belong to the others or they feel outcasted or being treated more badly than the others. In their own environment "at home" it is somewhat easier for them, because they know the places (restaurants etc..), where they can feel good without sticking on a marriage ring.

In the Lotus-Villa 70% of the guests and patients are Singles, that is why we are familiar with many trains of thought of single travelers - both female and male -.

Therefore we introduced a couple of things, which particularly help to establish first contacts. Our oval tables are called again and again as very positive. We have thus no tables for 4 persons but only tables for 8 to 10 persons. Therefore never someone sits alone and if one wants e.g. to have the jam of the other end of the table with the breakfast it comes "automatically" to first contacts or discussions.

It is often problematic for single women to make a beach walk in Sri Lanka, because the so called beach boys respond immediately and do not release one or they "offer" doubtful offers of also sexual kind. Therefore we provide escorts if you want to go to the beach to everyone "whether man or woman" to hunt the Beach boys (sometimes also the dogs).

Practically all our guests and patients keep the windows open at night and do not lock the rooms. We are seen as a family, where one feels associated after a short time already. And at home one simply does not lock off everything.
